Early Childhood Education and Development Student

I'm currently majoring in Psychology with a focus on child psychology at the American Women's College of Bay Path University. I've been studying early childhood education and early childhood development since 2016, and earned an undergraduate certificate in Infant and Toddler Care from American Public University in 2017. This certificate program meets Virginia learning hour standards for the Child Development Associates (CDA) certification- Infant and Toddler Care specialization.

More About Myself

I'm a 26 year old mother that found my passion is early childhood education and development. I love learning about child psychology and find joy in being a positive figure in children's and families lives.

The Imaginative Learners Playgroup is a childcare service I'm offering in hopes of providing an enriching, exciting, and collaborative learning experience to children.

Outside of the classroom, I enjoy my own creative activities such as sewing, music, and painting. I'm always interested in local restaurants and love Asian food.

My favorite education systems include the Reggio Emilia and Montessori method. I believe it allows children to flourish and develop at their own natural pace, while still encouraging them to push themselves towards new discoveries.

My favorite child development theory is Brofenbrenner's Ecological Systems theory which, summarized, theorizes that every aspect of a child's environment impacts their development.
