March Class Updates: Teaching Aids and Sensory Center

I'm excited to announce new teaching aids including tools for hyperactivity, speech therapy, and occupational therapy!

There are 2 new Wiggle Seats by Lakikid, one made for a chair and the other replacing a chair. Wiggle seats offer alternative seating for children that have a hard time sitting still or feel the need to fidget. LakiKid is a recognized brand trusted by teachers and wiggle seats are great for children with or without special needs.

Sensory objects include the SANHO Sensory Body Sock, a sensory suit for children that helps to improve self-regulation, balance, body/spatial awareness, and provides a calming sense of being hugged to sensory seekers. Smaller objects are colored marbles for pouring, a zen garden for calming sand play, zipper/button stuffed animals, and a liquid sensory tile.

We have two new speech therapy tools. The Learning Loft Toobaloo Phone Device lets children receive immediate auditory feedback, build confidence and increase fluency by using it as a "phone" and hearing themselves speak. The Learning Resources Fox in Box Positional Word Activity Set is a fun game that teaches children rhyming, positional words, and spatial awareness.

A new emotional development/self awareness tool is the Strong Suit Tower of Self-Esteem game. In this fun game for all ages, we build a tower using cards which require children to name positive aspects of themselves/their lives. They learn to express themselves and give their opinion on the world around them, what they value, and their favorite topics.
