Week 02/24 Shapes and the Letter "P": Planets And Pizzas

This week we've been focusing heavily on shapes and their characteristics.

We created shapes for the children to take home and keep. They named each shape and counted how many sides they had. We also worked on fine motor control creating pepperoni pizzas out of clay. The children were excited to recognize they were creating circles and count how many pepperonis were on each pizza.

We also began painting round canvases inspired by our solar system. The children have been excited to learn about space while also practicing mixing colors. Our Sun came out beautiful with shades of yellow, orange, red, and even gold!
